At CENTURY 21 Ocean, giving back to the community is an important goal. Our owner, Barbara Schluraff, took her first mission trip with WEGO Ministries to Nicaragua over 15 years ago, and her passion for the organization inspired her to create a partnership with CENTURY 21 Ocean. WEGO Ministries is “a global family of local churches and local believers Serving Jesus Together in unreached and under-resourced communities.”
“My eyes were truly opened and I’ve followed them since,” said Barbara. “I’ve always admired and appreciated their grassroots, hands-on style of ministry,” she continued. “For the last several years, they’ve been reorganizing their focus and ministries and are ready to start spreading the news. Besides sharing the message of the power of the gospel of Jesus, another of their main goals is to teach and empower locals in the countries they serve to care for their own. Instead of placing a missionary from the U.S. in thee countries, it’s not only a win for the locals logistically and spiritually, but it’s also a HUGE financial win for everyone in cost and savings,” she concluded.
Barbara’s passion and steadfast support of WEGO Ministries’ mission is reflected in her desire to form a partnership with CENTURY 21 Ocean. We believe that giving back should be a major goal for any business, and are proud to work with WEGO Ministries to help give vulnerable children every chance at a healthy and purpose-filled life in Christ, and to equip native saints for the work of the gospel in unreached and under-resourced communities.
